The illusion of success, rolls blindly past the reality of life . . .
It's time for society to remove the blinders, to start funding and building ARC's (Abuse Recovery Centers) instead of prisons. It is time to train and employ, non violent, third strike offenders as mentor assistants to help themselves and the homeless assimilate back into productive social behaviors.
It is time to embrace y/our humanity . . . and conquer our fears.

i recently bought a set of Hohner Piedmont Blues harps, 20 bucks for 7 harps IN A CASE! they're cheap BUT THEY PLAY!!! you can't give anything worth anything to homeless people or they'll sell it, but a three dollar harmonica, why not!

i've done it all in a dumpster, smoked crystal meth, hid out from cops, slept, got laid, found food, ate meals, got out of the rain. I've found clothes and changed outfits right there on the spot. i was always worried that I was going to find a dead body.

i actually was homeless for about a year, i had a harp in my pocket the whole time but busking never occurred to me and I'm pretty good actually. i did a lot of dumpster diving.

as a fellow harp player i think this is the best idea i've heard in some while....i'm gonna do this. i swear it. i live in a shit town and 8 days out of the week i get asked for some spare change. if i added up the amount of change i've given in the past 12 years....i could probabley buy...i dunno maybe a stick of gum...yea i'm stingy. i'm broke too. but harmonicas??? i'd invest in this idea whole- heartedly!!! spread the love and the music ppl!!! harmonicas for the homeless!!! LETS GOOO

Years ago, I gave an OK harp of mine, to a guy living on the streets, who I had seen busking with a broken old harp.
