    Yes actually, they are weights used in the same movements as drum sticks but for the sole purpose to train your wrist/forearm strength, speed and endurance. Using those on drums would cause destroying everything in a matter of seconds.

    And for the price, the heaviest are 795 gramms which is about 1.75 pounds each. That way a pair has about half the weight of an 18" medium crash cymbals. Thats alot of material.
