  • @cityofage - Professionals do indeed get leeway when it comes to interpretations of classics, especially with musicals and broadway standards. Also, when it comes to operas and art songs, there is often an allowance for personal interpretation as well. The goal is to be like picasso: FIRST master the original form, and then change it to make it your own.

  • oohhh..so we're allowed to sing differently... like first she sings high high and then she sings a part different like not so high... I thought that would be unprofessional (I'm a novice) and so I try not to...but it's okay???
