i will take any chance i get to strip a dance club tune down to a ballad. this song from swedish pop singer/songwriter robyn came up on my trusty iPod on the drive home tonight. so i figured i would give it a go.
lyrically, i find this tune quietly devastating. it's about cold realization. it's about finally leaving things behind. it's about the ugly truth that all of us face if we dare to love. simply put, the perfect sad bastard piano song.
all feedback welcome. thanks for listening.
technical update: i had some questions about this one. so twist my arm to talk about the tech stuff, ha!
it's a one-take performance covered by three little cameras. for the truly initiated the cameras used include a flip camera for the piano keyboard shot, macbook pro built-in iSight for the head-on shot and an old sony dv cam for the side view.
for someone who will never hear it.
yeah that´s a good job fellow;)

this is so different compared to the original. you should really go towards doing more lyrically powerful songs. i bet you could work wonders.
