  • I actually did not mention anything about the size of the town.

  • Thanks for posting, very interesting. What month of the year (and what year) was this video taken?

  • This video was taked 06/10/07.

  • Alaska in very easy to navagate from city to city. It does have a very large amount of back country that requires alternative methods of navigation. As for the temp., I was there in June and the temps. were in the 80s and 90s. When I traveled above Coldfoot the temp. did start to drop and was in the low 20s when I arrived in Barrow.

  • That place looks pretty cool, but desolate. haha

  • It is a very interesting place. I am sure the people living there like it but the cold, wind and no green anywhere did not appeal to me. I am very glad to have visited for a short period.

  • @thewhaler20 i like the -40C part, since its the same as -40F......how do u survive the cold that far north......im from the south and have seen -F weather once in my life

  • @joewtjjoewp1 absolutely...it also enures -40C, thats my home town

  • wow my mom worked at the police department

  • This place is the best way to stereotype alaska for being cold..... This is not the everyday alaska! this is the farthest north you can go! I live in a dak, rains alot not too cold... Heck in fairbanks a few years ago it was up to around 90 F!!

  • @trkolb

The high for that day was 35 F. The rest of that week was similar.

  • Thanks for posting ... it was a trip down memory lane ... even saw our house!! Lived there in 1985-89. It was a wonderful experience.
