Brand new Fylde Falstaff, custom made for bluegrass with Adirondack spruce amongst other adjustments. The result is the most powerful, best sounding, easiest to play Martin destroying flatpicking guitar I've ever played - lucky me! This was recorded when the guitar was 2 weeks old and filmed in the garden later with a bad camera so sorry for the poor picture quality. Also, I forgot to put the capo on when we filmed it (it should be on 2, but at least the audio's right!). The tune is my first attempt at writing for the guitar :)

  • Sounds and looks lovely Charlotte, where did you mic it to get that quality outside, or were you plugged in?

  • @stickulari I recorded the sound inside beforehand on two condenser mics, then played it/filmed it several times playing to a metronome.

  • Great!

  • Really great tune, playing and guitar.

I hope to see more solo guitar videos in the future, your playing is very inspiring.

  • this is amazing, is there any way to get a recording of it, possibly itunes or something?

  • That's a gorgeous piece. First attempt at writing for the guitar?! Incredible stuff. One of my favourite players, Nic Jones, used a Fylde Oberon. Very high class guitars.

  • That song is what I played in my Guitar Competition. It's very hard to learn.

  • awesome

  • well done...

  • You'd sound and look as good if you played on a plank of wood. But yeah that's a really nice sounding piece of timber when put in the right hands.

  • Nice tune, well played, and a great sounding guitar!
