Steve Atwater-Step Up

Wow. This is the first video I have made in over a month.

I decided to make this little tribute to Steve Atwater because I searched all over YouTube and could not find a tribute video to him. I found a couple videos about him, but none were tributes.

Steve Atwater was a monster of a safety. He recorded 1180 tackles and 24 interceptions. He was an extremely hard hitter, which is why I put the clip of him hitting Christian Okoye at the end! Man, what a hit!

I miss living in CO and getting to watch the Broncos all the time. Atwater was AMAZING. I remember hearing the crack from him hitting a player from the top of Mile High...Dawkins does remind me of him...what a refresher.

Its very hard for a Safety to get into the HOF. They dont get the accolades like a corner or a linebacker does. I think Atwater does belong in the HOF but I dont think it will happen. I would like to see Dennis Smith get in as well but for some reason no one except us Bronco fans remembers DS49. The players he and Atwater separated from their senses remember them though.

I was an small OLB for many years. Some fullbacks outweighed me by 100lbs. It was a mess. Then little (in comparison) Atwater inspired me. Cleat in the dirt - Helmet to the head! After that nights practice the fullback wanted to fight..then changed his mind and said "if you hit like that in games we'll win everything" GO ATWATER!

LOL, watch that play again, atwater wasnt even square wit bo jackson, he came from an angle and didnt really hit him bcuz bo decided to juke instead of connecting. and btw, u did know that was atwater's rookie season, rite?
