  • Great video,thnx for posting!

but where is Schon & Coke Escovedo?

  • Nothing beats the original Santana band line-up. Schon and Escovedo joined later. The line-up at this concert is the same one that plays on the first two albums ("Santana" and "Abraxas").

  • @Zarastro1040

yes,I know the history,I was just asking since you mentioned their names on the info but they're not here!

I think Coke escovedo only guest on Santana 3 & toured for a while but was never a fully member of the band, didn't stay long !

  • Oh, sorry, wrong line-up in the description.

  • Capitalized on the Fania All Stars rythum and sound, Still have all my vinyl,,,

  • Beautiful........ who cares about the time clock.

  • @BrokenChinglish ..MULATA OR MULATO...???????

  • i want a mulata

  • @chiladin You are right. But Santana was not an anti black mexican while using their Afro Cuban style like others do. He never played Mexican music at all after coming to USA but mostly American and Antillean music like this Cha Cha is. This is a Tito Puente 1964 creation (he was producer and of on the Timbales on the Album Abraxas in 1969) I had the album for decade. This one has the same beat as the one in the Abraxas album. There are others more accelerated that kills the Cha Cha.

  • This sounds absolutely great, prob slightly better than the record! That hammond sounds fantastic never mind Carlos! This is theeee song for grooove. Good post, many thanks, like the mexican hendrix comment too!

  • Recordar es volver a vivir... Aunque poco me acuerdo puesto que en ese año, yo tenía dos años de edad....

  • @aji802000 Sorry let me rephrase that without insults, but your comment rubbed me wrong, it seemed self centered and ungrateful. Bill gave out copies of footage with the timeclock to close friends, he never officially mastered them. After his death, finally geting remastered by wolfgangsvault d o t com. Wolfgangsvault d o t com are the only ones with balls to fight off a copyright lawsuit and win. This is a bootleg that someone cleaned up, looks quite clean for the old archive version of stuff.

  • @aji802000 wolfgangsvault d o t com bought the bill graham archives, they are slowly remastering all the videos, including the opener for Santana this evening, Miles Davis. You can, however, stream remastered audio from this Santana set for free from their site, or buy it in lossless FLAC form as well. The annoying time clock is because this is an archive tape, not for public consumption. Should be quite obvious. Find a better version of this night posted before you dislike it you pussy.

  • I love the music, but have given a "dislike" to the video because of that fucking annoying and unnecessary chronograph on the middle of the screen
