The inspiration for this song comes from my hometown, excelsior minnesota, after being booed of stage at a concert mick jagger went to the local drug store to fill a prescription. Mick requested a cherry coke but they didnt have any and he was giving the clerk grief when jimmy, the local homeless man told him "you cant always get what you want." And thus the song was born
