This is going to be a new series of vids that I'm going to post every weekend (if I can) where I post vids of the games I played the previous week. I tend to skip around in the games I play, and I thought that some of you may be interested in knowing what kind of games I play throughout my week aside from the games I show vids of.
This week I went on a FPS binge, and pretty much drowned myself into first person shooters.
The games are (In alphabetical order):
Doom (32X)-
For some reason, I'm addicted tot he 32X version of Doom. I've got the Collector's Edition on my computer, but I still drag out Doom 32X for a play. I guess it's because it's on of those games that I play a little here, and a little there when I'm feeling bored. Maybe it's because it's so far the only console version of Doom that I own, and I can just relax in front of my TV, and enjoy the classic Doom gameplay.
Duke Nukem 3D (Sega Saturn)-
This is another one that I just pop in casually and play at my leisure. I honestly haven't played through the game in years, I just play a few levels here and there, and call it a day.
Haze (PS3)-
Yep. That's right. I bought Haze this week. I wanted to see what the big deal over this supposedly terrible game was, and I was pleasantly surprised by a perfectly playable, perfectly engrossing, and fun FPS game. Sure, it's not perfect, but the media unfairly pissed all over it. I've got my complaints, and the game does have some glitches, but it's hardly a terrible game. In fact, I like it better than a lot of games that have received higher scores from the gaming press (Blacksite: Area 51 I'm looking at you).
Quake II (PS1, but played on a PS2 with texture smoothing on)-
What can I say, I'm damn addicted to this remarkable port of Quake II. When I first got the game, I played through it three times straight, and with my gaming ADD (brought on by owning over 900 games, and never being able to focus on any one for too long), that's saying a lot. It's just got the classic in your face Quake gameplay that I've grown to love over the years. You people can have your Call of Duty 4's, I'll stick to Quake II where at least I feel like a badass, and not some sissy that has to hide every two seconds, because he's getting shot.
Star Wars: Dark Forces (PS1, but played on a PS2 with texture smoothing on)-
I'd like to thank youtube user elbryan42 for bringing this one to my attention. Until previously, I never even looked at this game because of the official scores it got (I used to actually listen to reviews like they meant something, how naive I was when I was younger), but after watching the game in action, I really wanted to give it a try, so off to ebay I flew and paid slightly over $5. So far I'm also really enjoying this game.
Oh and for those interested in FPS games on the PS1, I wrote a blog spotlighting the PS1 FPS of note.
It's here:

Note: I just noticed that I mislabeled Quake II (PS1) as Haze. Oh well, I'll do it better next time.
haze looks like an imitation of halo

@TheRetardedMidget And Halo is an imitation of Half-Life, and a bunch of other FPS games (especially since MC looks like an armored version of the Doom Guy). Your point?

@TheRetardedMidget There was actually one that id relesed even before Wolfenstein 3D, but I forget it's name. It was some wizard one. There may have even been one before that.
