  • Where does the power come from to separate the Hydrogen from the water?

Given the 2nd law of thermodynamics the energy recovered from the hydrogen is smaller than that needed to extract it. So if they have a battery on there it's just more efficient to use the battery directly.

  • Whats running the "energy generator" that seperates the hydrogen from the water?

  • stupid reporter, water is chemically stable.

there is no usable energy in it.

splitting water into H and O requires more energy than recombining em produces (usable energy that is).

hydrogen fuel cells are like batteries, they need an external energy source.

The only way this car could run on nothing but water would be cold fusion or down hill.

Cold fusion is a fantasy and down-hills also are up-hills if you want to go home.

  • thumbs 27 i need too so car ,great vid super reportage i liked nice day

  • @WiseRick i think they have a small nuclear power plant to do that

  • the proof is in the pudding... and i'm still waiting for my pudding!

  • the battery to seperate the hydrogen from the oxygen would make that car go faster if it was hooked direct

and i do bel;ieve that the hydrogen is burned in a little engine to turn a generator that creats the power for the car .....i think:)

  • does the rest of the water turn to steam then?

  • @Tritone probly a few alternators or some shit.

  • Hydrogen is probably extracted electrically, then the car uses the electricity to power the car. you produce enough hydrogen to charge run the motors and extract it from water. Fyi hydrogen is abundant and during the last century there have been dozens of ways to produce it, remember the derigibles?

  • !? How can that car possibly work? You USE UP energy when extracting hydrogen

form water. It is just a waste of energy! Do they then convert the hydrogen back to water? What's the point of that energy waste? Use the power directly!
