What's always been strange to me is how even though this was 1965... even today we don't have roads like this in NZ (I live in New Zealand). We have no cloverleaf junctions and our freeways are basic 2 lane 'land' versions, not the big concrete uber 3-4 lane things in these videos.

If this short film were to be used in future Driver's Ed classes, then this would make driving even more understandable, yet entertaining at the same time.

The instructor may have to mention a few changes of what should be done to your car today compared to back then though...

I remember watching this in Driver's Ed. Certainly made things more interesting. Not to mention all the rules of the road from 1965 still apply to today. Just add idiots talking on their cell phones or texting while driving and you see that there...is no difference in the rules. Other then how you'll be arrested for them.

Haha I am learning to get on the freeway but never thought this vid existed. It certainly beats those ehow vids. This is a gem, thanks!

6:03 Pinto Colvig's final words as Goofy: "Just plain common sense." Goofy's Freeway Troubles was Pinto's swan song.

It certainly still has relevance. The cell phone generation we live with today certainly adds more confusion to the mix.

water is still used today for the radiator, but still lost as why you would ass Antifreze to the list...I live in the South where the temp is always 70 or above so antifreeze is not even on my list.

When fatigued while driving, my father always turned on the radio.
