This is part of an interview, probably in the mid to late 1970s, with prima ballerina absoluta of the early era Ballets Russes, Tamara Karsavina.
She talks about performing the title role in 'Giselle' in the 1910 Ballets Russes revival of the work at the Theatre national de l'Opera in Paris. Her partner was the legendary Vaslav Nijinsky.
Sir Anton Dolin is the interviewer, with whom she later appeared in revivals, for example, of 'Le spectre de la rose'.
Karsavina speaks of the differences in partnering between Nijinsky and Dolin.
how could she indeed
have you seen the interview with ruth page where she was taken back stage to see pavlova and te great legend and when the door was opened page says (?) pavlova was stark naked?

Some performances are forgotten but not Pavlova coming to your dressing room to undress you verbally. Anna, how could you? You should have attacked the wardrobe dept.
