In January 2007 I created a goal to become a successful writer and to meet Oprah Winfrey. Through participating in the on-line Oprah Winfrey Book Club I was invited to be in the audience in January 2008 for the Book Club interview with Ken Follett and his new book "Pillars of the Earth." My story unfolds in December of 2006 with me being homeless, jobless and penniless. Through the invisible hands of God, my friends Sandi and Tony, my brother Allan and the staff of the Oprah Winfrey Show my dream of being an audience member comes true.

Ah yes. I'm sure God's mysteriously invisible hands work hard to get people front row seats to Oprah. No wonder there's world poverty - God is far too busy playing Ticket Master.
