This is a video response to Ozzycda's video which deals with a quote from Matthew 3:3. The assertion is that Matthew did not know his Hebrew since his citation is not the same as that found in the Masoteric textual tradition. However, not all citations taken from the Tanakh have to be verbatim. In rabbinic literature there were many different styles of quoting the Tanakh. The Dead sea scrolls serve as a prime example, but there are also many examples from the Talmud. Furthermore, since Matthew's audience was a Greek speaking, then it would make more sense for him to quote from the Septuagint.
