  • @guymassive how the hell u know what happened then?...

  • @amyellowhair David won..and i don't have religion either!...

  • @Jedothek

Given that the topic of the debate was not whether or not Christianity is true, it's perhaps a bit unfair to assume that Wood gave the best replies that he could have given if he had the time to focus on defending Christianity rather than attacking Muhammad. At least some of the time Ali's points about Christianity seemed total red herrings and Wood probably just wanted to give quick answers without wasting too much time away from the actual topic.

Even though I think Ali lost this debate, I do agree that he's a great speaker.

  • @amyellowhair

Please clarify why you think the Muslim won. The topic of the debate is "Who was Muhammad?". For the Muslim debater to have won the debate, he should have been able to present good evidence that Muhammad was a prophet of God. Did Ataie offer such evidence? And also, did he really deal convincingly with the points raised against the prophethood of Muhammad?

  • Notice the pattern: both speakers make excellent points against the other’s religion; both speakers repeatedly appear evasive or unconvincing in defending their own religion. Conclusion: Christianity and Islam are both flawed.

  • Ali is an amazing speaker, May Allah bless him and his family abundantly for what has done for the ummah,

    Amen.

  • The Muslim won. i dont have a religion

  • People don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care. I don't know if Islamic theology is right or not, but last year my wife & my two adult children paid a visit to a nearby Mosque. The Shaikh knew I'm Jewish, but still treated my wife and children like Royalty. Heck! He gave away his Hadith (Muslin legends) book to my older son, and even sent me a dish of delicious food! Believe me, it's this remarkable treatment what makes Islam so enticing. It makes us really humans. Shalom

  • @DoctorSargeMD No, it is not clear he 'raised his hand to her' - he may have hit her chest for a different reason. To catch his balance, or to swat a Spider. It is left unsaid & and unclear.
