Hi! I'm known as Gaia from the forums and I am in need of your help to transform my dark, drabby room into shabby chic.

List:
1. The colours I'm thinking of are: eggshell white and powder blue.
2. I don't know squat about painting on furniture, let alone, wooden furniture. Like, what the hell is a primer?
3. Why do I need to sand the furniture?
4. How do I make the "shabby-effect" after painting over it?
5. How can I organize my sewing desk?
6. How can I organize all of my shoes? I've got more than 26 pairs that no one has no intention of buying. Believe me, I've tried. I can't get rid of all of them because that would totally harm the environment, wouldn't it? So 'till someone falls in love with my shoes, I have to keep them here.

I know I'm asking for a lot. But I know Threadbanger/Threadheads can definitely pull off something like this.

Thank you so much!!

Gaia

  • just a few tips to help you go get vintage china flower vases, cups, plates, shabby chic bedding by Rachel Ashwell, silk flower arrangements, paint all your furniture in light colors like: white, Ivory. eggshell, light pastel colors you can even mix light pinks, buy crochet dollies, antique lamps, go thrift shopping and you will find many things

  • How about a trip to a flea market, or second hand shops, and pick up some old blue cottage style plates and cups and mosaic some of your items to add to your shabby chic room!

There are many tutorials on the tube and i can give you some tips! Hope I am not too late :)

    All the best!

  • I have an idea to cover your closet without painting you can buy either contact paper or wallpaper and just wrap it around the top and bottom and tape or staple it on the inside and it can come down when needed or if you feel like a change

  • dangit!! forgot... this is dreamerhill (on my hubby's youtube account!)
