they needed a new canteen cos there were cracks in the walls and the insurance payout would be massive, so rather than fork out cash, there was an 'accident' during roof renovations..funny

two of my friends were the last two people ever out of the canteen!
they thought it was just the alarm going off again(as it had been the previous few weeks with the renovations) and weren't bothered moving even when everyone else was leaving. then one of the canteen girls came over and was like yea its actually a fire lads

Apparently the fire started when the builders were working with a fire torch and some felt inside the roof above the kitchen.
Good enough rumour for me to believe.
