The 8th USAF were Super Hero's pal. In 1939 the German Luffwaffe was an awesome force until they lost to the RAF in the Battle of Britain. By 1944 they were a shadow of their former glory and the USAF Hell Cats, P-38s Coursairs and P 51 Mustangs ripped the Luffwaffe a new ass! Just the facts man.

World War Two: Germany Attacks Poland and starts a regional War, Britian and France declare war thus starting a world war.

World War Three: well, I guess we would blame for that one too.

@Squarerig It was Goering that pissed off hilter always changing his ideas of what hilter should have for a airforce Hitler was a ground troop in ww1 and never thought A air war was a good plan till a Year into ww2 German Producton was nothing like Americas Ford plants And if you want to take time to grind down rivet heads for a better plane your going to lose to the 3 other planes that were made in the same time frame yes the enginners were great which failed when it came to making it quick.

Germany's aeronautical engineers were way ahead of their allied counterparts at this time but,due to the enormous pressure of war production they were unable to bring their ideas to fruition.And the organisation of the Luftwaffe,under Goering's "leadership" was abysmal.See the air battles over GB in 1940.And then the overwhelming numbers fo the enemy.Tragic for Germany and its heroic pilots.

An interesting video in that its commentators are(mostly) thoughtful and appear to have actually read a few books on the topic rather than simply regurgitating the drivel posing as history on the History/Discovery channels, Band of Brothers, etc . . . To the gent in love with the P-51: Luftwaffe pilots respected its speed but little else about it. To condense a much longer story -- the two Allied fighters German pilots truly admired were the Spit and the P-47 . . .

Me-110's by 1943 were mainly used as night fighters equipped with upward firing automatic cannon.
