This is a fine lesson and all but I do take issue with your use of the term "diminshed scale". What you were playing is a diminished arpeggio, the diminished scale is different and consists of two diminished arpeggios played a half step apart, it's also known as either the whole-half or half-whole scale.

Good lesson man, very useful (at least to me), rock on!

@edbatsalot23 You need the theory to understand WHY this sounds good.

@Donnner93 His techniques work. Get off your high horse and try something that someone else says dude.

@Reuben961 To learn to play fast, you must learn to play it slow
That's a quote from great shredder Michael Angelo Batio. The theory behind this is that if u learn it slow, then you will be used to picking it and you can gradually build up speed.

Wasted time... just wanted to see what it was and how to play it but you just keep talking shit about YOU and you're techniques.. just go for the mainthing <.<
-
You should shut the fuck up and play..
-
You know what would make this video better....
If you didn't talk shit for 4 minutes about how shit you are. For fucks sake!
Don't make the video if you aren't confident doing it.

@Reuben961 It's called slow programming. Trust me, it works. You play as slowly as you need to, to be able to comfortably play the song flawlessly without even trying. And you keep playing that way over and over and over. It's gonna be boring and easy, but your brain is then programmed to doing it correctly, and after hours of repeating, you speed it up a little and try playing and you're like "noway i cant play at this speed". And you start playing it at that speed, easily and flawlessly.Brain.

LESS TALK MORE ROCK WHY DOES IT TAKE 10 MINUTES

treble too high? x|
are sweep arpeggios just chords with strings picked individually?
and how long did it take you to get that good at guitar?
xonlyxthexreflection 1 year ago
@xonlyxthexreflection Basically yes, but they are fingered differently because if you just played a chord, it would sound messy. Anyway I've been playing for around 14 years.

@RedSGShredder so is some kind of technique on how to pick the strings, or do you just pick them randomly?
xonlyxthexreflection 1 year ago
@xonlyxthexreflection Just what makes sense. It depends on the arpeggio. Down on the way down, and up on the way up.

if i want to learn to play things fast.. do i just play it over and over and over and over and over? is there anything i can do to speed things up.. i mean.. im always stuck at 50-75% speed on COB tabs :(:(:(
Reuben961 1 year ago
@Reuben961 Basically, that is the way to do it. You just play it many times until you can play it faster. Just go up slowly. Don't just jump from 50% to 75%. Try going to 55%, then 60%, then 65%, etc.
