In this video, sheetal discusses a 3 step routine that all acne sufferers must have in their daily skin care--cleansing, toning, moisturizing. In addition, using serums and face masks can be a great addition to your routine.
Your lotion should aim to treat your acne, and the most natural and effective active ingredient is sulfur. Serums, cleansers, toners, and face masks should have natural ingredients that are antibiotic and soothing to the skin. This will help treat infection and redness.
Sheetal's tips and recommendations are based on Ayurveda--a 3000+ year-old system of health and wellbeing that originated in India. Sheetal recommends the use of natural products that are mild and highly effective.

  • 1. You should use a PH balanced cleanser for oily skin. This will remove the excess oil from your face, without over drying it!

Camphor and Geranium from Apsara is an example:

    2. Both rosewater and lemon are good for your skin if it is oily. But if your skin is also acne-prone, I will advise against lemon, because it can irritate and over dry your skin, making your acne worse.

    Hope this was useful.

  • Essential oils work wonders. I use lavender oil, tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil. Just make sure these are 100% pure essential oils you are putting on your face. Herbal facial steams work too. Use yarrow, dried or fresh. Herbal remedies really are the quickest, safest, and most effective way to cure acne! Good luck!
