Botai Hotel - Beijing

A word of warning, do not stay at this hotel for the following reasons -
1. It is quite common for Chinese bed mattresses to be on the hard side, however the mattresses in th Botai felt extra hard.
2. There was no heating in the hotel whatsoever, it feels colder inside than in does outside. The foyer, the halls, the elevator and the rooms have absolutely no heating.
3. Although the rooms have telephones, no national or international calls can be made from them.
4. Foyer staff are unfriendly and unhelpful, period .




The only redeeming feature was the was the restaurant on the first floor which served good, tasty food and friendly staff.
