Did you know, per CDC, that more than 70 million in the US have already been vaccinated against H1N1? With cases falling nationwide, the numbers show the safety and the effectiveness of the vaccine. Now that vaccine is plentiful, the states have opened H1N1 vaccination to everyone (including seniors).

Influenza comes in waves; the next H1N1 wave may come in early 2010. It is unknown how long this H1N1 flu pandemic will last, perhaps into 2011 (per WHO.com) with more illness and death.

Protect yourself and your family now with vaccination and avoid the consequences of this deadly virus. Children are the most at risk (deaths 5 times greater than during a seasonal flu) and those under age 10 require a booster 1 month later to be fully protected. Pregnant women (and postpartum women) are 6 times more likely to die from an H1N1 infection than another infected adult.

H1N1 UPDATE: In the February 5, 2010 Press Briefing, the CDC reports more than 11,690 H1N1 US deaths, more than 70 million in the US vaccinated against H1N1 and more than 257,000 US hospitalizations due to H1N1 with transmission of the virus continuing across the US.
