Healing Hands of Gambia

WELCOME TO HEALING HANDS OF GAMBIA! We are a 501(c)3 corporation, and our US headquarters are located in Connecticut. We are also registered as a non-government organization in the Gambia, West Africa, which allows us to operate there. Our purpose is to provide the people of the Gambia with a solid and sustainable medical infrastructure to improve their health and well-being. In addition, we are establishing a clinical rotation for medical students and residents to assist us in our mission. Please help in any way you can - via contributions, volunteer service or in any other manner. Thank you so much!

Your questions are good ones, and, honestly, I wish I had the answers. I guess a lot of people feel that as long as the problem exists far away, it is not really "their" problem at all. In reality, though, there is no distinction between "us" and "them." All lives - here and there - have equal value. As to why so few people are wealthy - I really couldn't say.

Great video. I hope people finally understand what life is like in Africa. we really have no idea how people live in really low life conditions, so i challenge all of you to visit Africa. Yes... then you'll understand and probably try to do something. Visit the Gambia!
