The seed for this poem was planted when I watched bulldozers remove a beautiful hill in Sonoma County so Gallo could plant grapes on flat ground and harvest them more easily. I love wine but I decry the priorities.
I am grateful to work with pianist and composer Rob Catteron, who no matter how idiosyncratic the poem, creates perfect music for it. Grateful thanks also to Harrison Noah, videographer, and Michael Hagen, piano tuner and certified piano technician.
