This drive begins in the Cedar Park area north of US 183, where the highway turns into a freeway. Heading south, US 183 runs into Loop 1, the MoPac Expressway. After a detour to the top of Mount Bonnell, the drive continues on MoPac again, then downtown Austin, Texas.
