Tree Climbing Robot built for Engineering Senior Design Project 2007-2008 Trinity University (San Antonio,TX). This project was built on a limited budget to autonomously climb and rotate around a fixed diameter tree while detecting and avoiding branches using an array of sonar sensors. Built by Stephen Arnold, Robert Lewis, Matt Meador, Amanda Richter, and Matt Saunders.

that matthew meador isn't too bright... who the heck wants a robot that can climb trees??? how about a robot that can pick up the dog poop in my backyard and turn it into gold?
