This is what I had to play for my public examination. Somehow, I never succeed in finishing those pieces, I always play mistakes ^^. But I do like this piece, and it's the only piece without piano, and that's nice. Hope you like it.

  • you can hear that the music does not come from your heart, you just play the notes, it is sad because gariboldi wrote such wonderful peaces. Try to ply it with more enthusiasm and love to the music. keep going :)

  • you're totally right. I always try to play the music with some emotion, but sometimes I have to concentrate so much on the notes I just don't think about it anymore. I guess you first have to moderate the piece completely before you can play it really with emotion. anyway, my flute teacher always says it's really important too and she says I have to pay attention for it. do you play any music?

  • maybe you try to play the melody without looking at the notes? because then you have no other choice, i think the music will then come from your heart, close your eyes while doing it, that might help. Try to feel the beauty of the melody.

Yes of course I play music, I play the flute like you :) How long do you play?

    So good luck :)

  • thanks for the suggestion. this is the 4th year I play, so it was in my 3rd year I made this video... What about you?

  • @MissFoto1

Also, try singing the piece when you're alone. Then, you'll get a better grasp of what you want it to sound like. Good luck!

  • Well, it's a bit of a mindless tune to begin with. I would stay skip the public examination and just play what you feel like playing - something with a better melody, and then I'd bet we'd hear you play a lot better even than this.

Keep up the good playing (it does take a lot of work, but you can actually improve a lot in just one year if you put your mind to it, and have a proper guide/teacher to point things out as you go - which I never had). Cheers, jazzflutist

  • Me diga que metodo é este.

  • try not to take away your fingers so far from the buttoms

  • that was pretty nice! i ve been playing this study 5 years ago... i remember every single note!try not to get so nervous when playing coz this effects your flute sound! good although

  • I think im in my third year now, did my suggestion help you?
