Judy Collins sings Stephen Sondheim's "Send In The Clowns" at a 1991 concert in California. ON piano is her musical director at the time, Joseph Joubert. Collins recorded the song for her 1975 album Judith. By that point the song had already been recorded by dozens of artists, but it was Judy's version that made it a worldwide hit, reaching the Top 40 Billboard Charts first in 1975, then again in 1977 when it reached the Top 20. The song won the1976 Grammy Award for Song of the Year.
Stop the silly carping and just enjoy the song, no matters who sings it. Let it touch your heart.

As much as I like Barbra Streisand..Judy owns this song....her voice is softer and has a prettier flow.

I have memories of performing this on my clarinet for an audience of--two!
They happened to be my Mom and Dad!

A beautiful song, and an equally beautiful performance. Anyone who enjoyed listening to Judy's version of Send in the Clowns, should also hear the versions by Sally Ann How and Ruthie Henshall. Enjoy!!
