all these fucking whining record companies with their crying about downloading now. They were fucking criminals from the beginning. I'm gonna go download some Buddy Holly records now.

These big record companies are criminals! These were Buddy's songs man! The next time I have to read about these executives trying to prosecute people sharing music I am just going to go ape shit! What do the Mafia and big record labels have in common? Listen to the recording and then answer. This call should be the number 1 defense introduced into evidence in any such case because these jerks are the ones stealing from the artists! PERIOD! Glad for the post but it makes me sick.

5inthehole- Was just reading up on the reason for the '59 tour. He went on the tour to stay out of bankruptcy.

Nailers- I know he was having money trouble but never knew it was getting that serious. What I was trying to put across is that if that snake manager of his would have gave Buddy his Royalty checks he never would have needed the money from "The Winter Tour" and never got in that plane. I know he wanted to lay down some tracks in New York-did he ever get a chance to do so...it's been a long time ago.

Considering the era this was recorded, I'm not surprised Paul said what he said. He wasn't out of line.
