Liang bua Cave- Home of Homo Florensiensis

In 2001, Indonesian scientists found traces of a new Humanoid, Homo Florensiensis also called the Hobbit. It was approx. 1 meter tall and lived as early as 13.000 years ago, at the same time as Homo Erectus, our forfathers and the Neanderthal man. It changes the tree of Human kind forever. We visited the cave in November 2009, and was lucky to find that the cave is still under escavation and that one of theantropologists,who has participated in the project from the very beginning was present, and could tell about their findings. 6th of November 2009
