Cool Demonstration! I used to work for a wedding band manufacturer and we sold some tungstan carbide rings. When we first started working with them we put it on the lathe and went to town with any tool we had. Very tough to mar even with all our efforts. I wouldn't wear it just because what if I got in an accident and broke my finger. Once it swells unlike gold I dont see a way to cut the tungsten ring off. But for the money they are extremely durable and look very cool.

@heynowitsjon "Tungsten rings can be removed in an emergency situation. Rings made of extremely hard materials, like tungsten carbide or ceramic, can only be removed by cracking them into pieces with standard vice grip-style locking pliers. Medical professionals are strained how to remove these alternative material rings."
