@aokspage 1/2 oz should be fine for two cups in most cases, 25% more if the water/pot is almost freezing. As long as you have a light wt pot and insulate the stove metal from the ground and reflect radiation away from the ground, I don't think you would need more than that. But if you want to boil more than 2 cups, I'd raise it some, yeah.

nice neat work, i made a similar white box'ish stove a while back, but a bit too big for me !

Nice sized stove, I like it. What is the O.D. of that 3 oz bottle? I've been using some bottle lately that are 2-1/16" O.D. but wouldn't mind something even smaller.

@Woodenarrows Thanks glad you like it. The snowpeak has no problems balancing on it. The outside diameter is 1 3/4 inches.
