Adventure Radio Society hosts an annual QRP contest event called Filght of the Bumble Bees. The Bumblebees walk, hike, bike, climb or boat to their sites. Purpose is to encourage outdoor radio activity and have fun. Home stations are welcomed to participate as well. Dave -NK0E, goats and I had a great time! Dave used his K1 w/G5RV and I had my FT817 buddipole and jumper dipole.

  • Tks Don! I think you're riiiiiight!

  • Another great day on the mountains with the goats. How far is the hike in to your camp area? Randy

  • Hi Randy! It's only a couple miles so the boys don't have far to hump our gear. =D

  • Does the area you commonly hike have resident goats who are willing to pack your equipment for you - or are the goats yours?? Thanks

    KE7BIJ Eric

  • Hi Eric, Several years ago I rescued these 2 goats from the sale barn. They've become my best friends as hiking buddies. I've earned their trust and respect as their alpha-goat herd leader. They live in my barn at home as pets.
