Basically, the man falls in love with her pain & essentially her despite her being a serial killer who hates men. He understands her.A twisted love story. As far as his daughter appearing & talking to him, it's just his mind, in that he misses her & she's become sort of a guardian angel to him. Either that or he created her to keep himself sane.

Please forgive my ignorance. Umm... I have watched this movie many times...It's still very confusing for my family and I. Could somebody explain to me? I don't get the plot at all.
