@maxpower789z i don't recall the gimmick getting over that well. I know they were giving him a push with it (as you say, he was s'posed to win the IC belt that night) but I don't remember too many people enjoying the storyline. I know amongst all my friends at the time, we hated the character but still liked the matches just because it was Owen (or Jarrett on occasion). Regardless of whether it was getting over, I still think it was a lame storyline. They could've done better with him.

hooray for TL Hopper, lol! i'm with him on the Owen situation. If they hadn't relegated Owen to such a lame, midcard gimmick, he would've still been kicking ass today... granted, he seemed to put out the goofy side of the character well, but it didn't seem to go over well with the fans as is.... the gimmick should've been dropped, not Owen.
