Great Motor...I have a 6FL913 I am getting running...
-
a 9 series will run over 5000 hours before any top end work is needed. i know, i work at the factory that rebuilds them :D
-
And they are rebuildable almost indefinitely. And being air cooled it won't freeze.
-
Didn't Mack make a diesel once which had exactly one litre displacement per cylinder?
-
Not the mo st powerful 6.1-litre diesel (180shp) but it does make tons of torque- about 450ft-lbs at the shaft.
-
those deutz run for ever.. we still got some of those in our equipment under ground.. they run basicly wide open when they in operation.. and they won't die
-
What is a running Deutz 6 cylinder engine worth with no turbo, roughly? $1,500?
Thanks,
Dave

Depends on where you are located. You can find them cheap in places like FL where they are used on tons of stuff. Here in Chicago you can plan on paying 2K-3K. I only paid 300 bucks for mine getting lucky on ebay and then driving to NC to pick it up.
