Summer Run was TVam's Saturday morning strand for kids in the summer of 1983 (the winter version was called 'Data Run).

Presented by Timmy Mallet, this clip features a magic performance by a viewer, Richard Pearson and the beginning of astronomy programme 'SpaceWatch'

I didn't think you'd be able to date this one Robin, there's so little to go on!

I think it's later than that, the only reason I have it this clip is because I (as a space-mad 7 year old) was recording the whole series of SpaceWatch The week this episode was broadcast was when we were on holiday hence it was on a timed recording and started early. I don't think we'd have been on holiday the first week of the school holidays

Interesting to see TV-am play out their ads with American-style fade outs at the end of each advert.

The "Summer Run" theme tune is a re-recorded version of "Mama Used To Say" by Junior.
