Me working en pointe in my old shoes. I tried to get over on my box more, I am also working on increasing my turn out.

I don't mean to put you down, I loooove pointe shoes, but be really carefull dancing on pointe on that floor and especially jumps!

you could hurt your ankles and not be able to dance ever again!

As a pt.teacher/fitter, u r tying your shoes incorrectly. Did you have them on the wrong feet? The inside ribbon should be longer. To save time, look at the Lisa Howell videos on this site (she explains clearly). The knot should be on the inside of the foot in the hollow between ankle bone and achilles tendon, not on the outside or back by achilles tendon where it can cause injuries. I could say more, but ran out of space. You seem to have potential and love to dance--keep dancing forever! :)

Yep, I realized I was tying them wrong when I discovered Lisa's videos. These are my old shoes, in my other pointe videos, I have new shoes and the ribbons are right! =)

She can tie her ribbons how she likes. Every dancer is picky about their pointe shoes. If this works for her, let her be. ;)

Ok first learn to tie your ribbons correctly if ur going to be stuffed showing us:-) second those shoes ( in my opinion) are dead:-)

I can't believe your dance teacher didn't tell you that your ribbons were tyed wrong! :O Mine woulda been all over that. She can't even stand messy ribbons when we aren't wearing them lol

The not in Ur ribbons should be on the inside of Ur foot

the only thing is your elastics looks somewhat loose...

and she can tie her ribbons however she would like to. whatever works for her. so everyone stop saying she needs to learn how to tie her ribbons.
