The last and best storm I have ever experienced was somewhere in July or August 2011... It only lasted for 10 minutes or so, but was the most powerfull and loud thunderstorm I have ever whitnessed. To bad I had to work at that moment and I didn't have any camera around... I never heard more close strikes in a row than on that day.

@weeardguy I hear that, any time a storm is coming I'm the one who runs outside to watch it rather than being stuck in a shelter, lol

@shnrbtlle18 Well, to be honest, I am an adult now, but when I have the time and opportunity to observe a storm... I can go pretty wild, especially when it's a promising storm.

in 2010 in lethbridge alberta there were these crazy electrical storms, the lightning was red not purpley white and the air was so staticy that the hair on my arms stood up! it was insane! there was prolly 50 strikes a min. to the west and i didnt wanna go outside to watch, soo i slipped on my steel toes and went outside! that was humbling, all that power around me!

I never had as much fun, as with my neice and nephew and explaining lightning strikes when they were young (No, didn't BS them) and we had several bolts strike nearby. When they got older and more mouthy, I left them alone and they wonder why I don't care to deal with them anymore.

Who ever thought a storm could be such a good time??. LOL thanx for sharing. Love hearing a child who is still learning about the wonders of the world amazed by a storm that we as adults have seen over and over and every time its still a new experience.
