  • is 10 the maximum gauge of the strings? or how is it?

  • @Paradisecity1992 They say not to go over nines... But I would say if you tuned down a half step it would not put as much stress on the instrument and should be fine.

  • I always used ultra light nines, but I would say you could go up to tens and stay down a half step with no issues.

  • The Martin BP guitar sounds like a very thin small body guitar. I dont have any better way of explaining it. This recording was done with a high quality four directional microphone, so that's what it sounds like. Gain was set to mid, and the soud hole of the guitar was about 12" away.

  • You're a little out of tune there buddy

  • @macintologist04 That's okay. This was a demo audio/video for the Ebay ad when I was selling it.. Got more for the guitar than expected so evidently the buyer didnt care..

  • whats the song at 2;05 anyone?

  • large sound for the size!

  • this guitar is horrible and has this weird shape. washburn rover it's much better.

  • really like my backpacker but this video is just retarted. whats up with the guitar just posing in random places. i feel worse about owning one now

  • Mick, IMO it's just out of tune. I've had mine for 3 years. If you change the strings every 3 months it holds its tune nicely. It can definitely take a beating. I smack mine all over the house and it is always strapped to my Jeep or motorcycle, the dogs crawl all over it and it really doesn't faulter. I've played other small guitars that are marketed as "backpackers" but a lot of them a just cheap versions of the full-size guitars. This thing is defintiely cool.

  • put a capo on 5 and you have a mandolin.... put one on 8 and you have a ukulele

  • sounds good...

  • Kinda appropriate that you took pictures of this in front of an out-house......cause it sounds like CRAP Yikes.....does IT not stay in tune, or can you just not tune?
