On Friday, GMTV - On Monday, Daybreak

This clip shows the closer to the ITV News At 5:30 on Friday 3rd and Monday 6th September 2010, followed by the Opening and closing to the last ever GMTV, they only told viewers in the last hour of the programme it was the final edition. GMTV ends with a remix of the 1993 theme being played out for one last time, followed by a promo for Daybreak. The next clip sees the opener and closer to Daybreak. It's just interesting to compare both of them, but for me I liked Daybreak, and I hope it does well.

urgh, daybreak gets on my nerves. i loved gmtv and watched it whilst i got ready for school for up to 9 years. and what is this "cool before school" thing? it rubbish i tell you.. if it aint broke dont fix it

The first couple of daybreak titles were just to get by as the current ones sound a lot more rehearsed, the first ones sounded live.

Daybreak is a very expensive mistake. Less viewers that GMTV.

@channel4squares You did, this happens everytime before they handed over to GMTV and any Regional programmes, all in SD, although it's more common to see the final second of a promo.
