You Might Be A Racist

Filmed on April 1st, 2007 at the Prince William County Board of County Supervisors meeting. The main focus of the agenda for the afternoon session was Chief Deane's progress report on the implementation of the Immigration Resolution. But the most anticipated aspect of the meeting was the face-to-face between Police Chief Charlie Deane and Chairman Corey Stewart, after Stewart and his allies in the blogosphere had attacked Deane and even called for his resignation.

Seriously people. You guys fail to see what the real issue is here. It isn't ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. It's the fact that police officers would be LEGALLY obligated to racially profile individuals in that county in order to see some type of documentation during a standard police stop. That in itself is giving way too much power to people who are supposed to SERVE and PROTECT all members of their community regardless of whether they are legal or not. Let Immigration Officers handle that stuff.
