Certainly possible - or maybe we became more like robots - or both ...
That line between the man and the machine - and just how blurred it can get - has been a main point of Kraftwerk's music through the years: with a presumption that in time, we would not be able to tell the difference. Early on, they showed that by men acting more machine-like, now the machines act more man-like - both are two sides of the same idea. Despite the difference, it is the same!

It's simple to explain. The robots themselves evaluated through the years to be more humans-like. So Kraftwerk did in the natural way. Didn't they ?

kraftwerk rules! i think it would be really cool if they came to lollapalooza this year, they would totally fit right in!

A large part of Kraftwerk's theme through the years has been to blur the line between Man and Machine - "Mensch Maschin" .
That is the point of this song: what is the difference - and should there be one?

GREAT ! The best electronic band in history ever...so brilliant.

In early videos of this song, Ralf & Co would act as robotic as possible, and the music was as "straight" - as mechanical and inhuman as possible. Now, the Robots attempt to be as human as possible, and the music is played with a "swing" - a slight lag on the beat, which is very un-robotic.
Interesting contrast!
