Look very closely at the fact that the mustang was pulling in you when you were on the gas.. Or you would have gotten over because you would have been in front..but you were not.. You were getting passed..

@simonriddick the distance looks about even to me. but 184whp in a heavier coupe can rape the GT of that year. so with the bit he has in a lighter hatch, im sure hes is about an even race with it.

@joescivic I don't like either of these so don't get all crazy on me. But you can see the GT pulling right at the beginning and him walking away the second time after passing back into the right lane.

@WrekNeYez look closely. the civic let off the gas, lets the mustang pass, then gets back on the gas, and stays an even distance behind the mustang. it doesnt take much to beat those mustangs. 184whp was enough to RAPE them in my 2500lb 2000 coupe. this is a lighter, 92-95 hatchback. and no, thats my old power. i make 40whp more than that now with just bolt-ons. should be making more, but my tiny 2.36" exhaust killed my power.
