This video was shot from a 129th Rescue Wing HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter near the water tower in Crystal Beach, Texas, Sept. 13. Rescue teams were deployed to Texas to assist with the Hurricane Ike search and rescue efforts. For more information, go to www.129rqw.ang.af.mil.

  • People who waited too long to decide whether to leave were trapped on the peninsula. On one end, the ferries stopped running because the tide had risen too much. On the other end, The rising tide washed out the highway.

    This is why there is a news blackout. The video speaks for itself as to what it must have been like.
