  • Holden was part of General Motors? Why didn't they have Holden cars here in the US?

  • GM is/was the parent company of Holden Australia (until GM went bankrupt).

Our Holden Monaro was sold in the US as a Pontiac GTO - but didn't sell well.

Statesmans were also sold overseas as Chev Luminas I think.

  • @MeFrom07

    me too!

  • Love it...so disco!

  • When Nine was KING of Sports with Brian Morelli and David Hill (now Fox USA)

knew the way to present sport.

Voiintro was a surprise Holger Brockman? Must have been an Agency job as he was not a 9 Network voice!

  • Just love the "Wide World Of Sports" music.

  • The name Holden is used on most GM vehicles in Australia and NZ only. The most recent Holden over in the US was the Pontiac G8, which is the Australian built Holden Commodore.
