  • @stacywv Thanks, I started to sing it out and figured it out, great song and great job.

  • Please, no apologies! I can't believe you were able to make out any of those details lol. I look at the video now and couldn't tell what I was playing or where I was capo'd if this was all I had to go by. Thank goodness I was there, so I know lol. Thanks you so much for the kind words and encouragement. And yes, I'm one of Cathead's 4 kids. He came to Nashville with me and did some bass on my record and I also recorded two of his songs for it.

  • I realized after posting my response that it was D instead of E-flat. Sorry 'bout that. After I got a good look at the inlays in your guitar neck, I realized my error. Thanks for correcting me. You sure picked up the guitar quickly. Do you play any other instruments? You're also an excellent song writer. I like your original works. I suppose you get your writing talent from Cathead. Am I right in my assumption that you're his daughter? In any event, you're a very talented artist. Thank you.

  • Thanks, Daisy Mae. Those are definitely my chords (which I got from Crooked Still's version). The quality of this video is compromised, so the only thing is that I'm actually capo'd in the second fret, so singing it in D. Aoife O'Donavan sings it un-capo'd, so her key is C. The actual progression is C,F,C,F,Am,G,C.

  • Alison Kraus is Alison Kraus. Stacy Grubb is Stacy Grubb. Both extremely talented and blessed with voices I could listen to all day every day. Great work, Stacy! It's the kind of music I grew up with. Seeing you, Cathead, and the gang always reminds me of the weekend jams around our kitchen table with friends and family. As Bob Hope would say, "Thanks for the memories!"

  • Oh wow, love this one. Can't find the chords anywhere, I suppose I'll just figure em' out myself. Thanks!

  • amazing!

  • I detect a little Allison Kruase accenting here. Loved it!
