I feel dirty listening to, and enjoying this.
-
ever noticed how arto never plays guitar and sings at the same time on records (except for on this particular track)?
automatically makes me feel better about myself since I can't do two things at the same time. especially since this is arto we're talking about, one of the all time best guitarists. say what you want, but for using mabye two chords in DNA's whole discography, he's insanely creative.

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THERE BEST SONG

Sooo glad I gave this a listen. Happiest ears in Podunkville NM.

NO WAVE LIVES ON! NO NEW YORK!
-
@PantsMenace I guess that's what happens to many bands. Im just glad someone recorded and filmed it! =)
-
@Kento617 me too, but the whole no wave scene was nihilistic and self-destructive. the fact that it was so short lived is what made it so cool
-
@PantsMenace ok thanks man. I wish they would've lasted a little longer though.

@Kento617 arto lindsay is a classically trained guitarist. he's released multiple, more conventional, solo albums where he plays normal things (well, almost. he's still all about crazy noise)

everyone talks about this band "wanting you to hate them," and I just don't get that. I think DNA is absolutely beautiful. I find it downright PRETTY! Arto's voice is transcendent, his guitar work is both demented and hopelessly romantic. Ikue's drumming is almost ritualistically stoic, and the bass provides an otherwise avant-garde band with a bruisy punk attitude that glues the whole thing together. DNA ROCKS
