Londoner's Take to Streets Over Climate Change

They come with a shared purpose

Its exactly a week before the very important climate change summit in Copenhagen next Saturday when we expect our world leaders to make some sort of real commitment in cutting carbon emissions.

Marching past some of Londons most famous landmarks, different groups point out the effects of climate change, from their own perspectives.

Well, from the RSPBs point of view, unless we take firm action to tackle climate change quickly, then were looking at a mass extinction event this century. Science suggests that a third of land based species are going to be committed to extinction by 2050, unless we take action soon, and that means the UK government must clean up its own house by quitting dirty coal power stations.

This event is called the wave and theres a strict dress code blue.

Blue posters, blue banners, blue balloons and blue painted faces filled Londons streets.

Some of Londons Catholics brought a bit of Christmas cheer to the event.

World leaders will sit down in Copenhagen from the 7th to the 18th of December, to discuss climate targets. The results will be eagerly awaited in the capital.
